I awoke this morning with the first thing in mind was to get a surf in. After that it was a cup of coffee. As I was sitting there the sky was amazing as created that beautiful winter almost spring lighting. I grabbed my camera and leica lens and rode my bicycle thru towns capturing these images of life, culture & lifestyle.
This is California.

This was a little trip we did with the fox team and some other some other friends down to mainland. the place is insane when it comes to pointbreaks. if you don’t like one head around the corner to the next one and so on and so fourth. Its relatively tide dependent and it just so happened that we planned our trip quite well with the tides. We had about 10 days of painfully long rights with some substantial swell. by day 5 the boys were very particular to when they would surf because it got so damn hot. and mid day mexican sun is no good for shooting, so all the video and still guys got to play in the water from about 11-2 everyday while the “talent” rested, ate and tried to stay out of the sun. that time came to be called the “camera-mens cup”- all the shooters would have heats and try to out surf/bodysurf they others- winners would get beers losers would get more more beers.
If I was regular I would have a house there. Every type of wave you can think of, barrels for days breaking on sand, the water is like silk and its only a few hours from home.
Go if you ever have the chance.
